Not into selling products you need to ship? Then affiliate marketing may be more for you. The hard part about affiliate marketing is deciding what you want to promote. There are so many affiliate programs in almost every niche you can think of, you are bound to find something that interests you.
The first step you will need to do is select the niche you want to work with. This can be a daunting task. What I recommend is to take a trip to your local book store and head to the magazine rack. Look for niches that interest you and have several magazines covering them. If the niche has several magazines about it, it’s most likely going to be profitable online. Just do some searching on any search engine and see if others are building sites covering the niche you are researching.
Once you have selected a niche that appears to be profitable it is time to locate affiliate programs you can use to sell products and or services to your site visitors. Just select a few to start. You can add additional products and/or services after your site starts getting good traffic.
Now you have to make a decision about how you want to build your site. The two most popular methods are to build standard websites or build a blog site. For beginners the blog platform is usually the best method to use.
As you are building your site you want to keep in mind that you want to give your visitors high quality content. You don’t want your site to look like a big ad. You want to discuss the niche and then when appropriate, recommend products or services that may interest your site visitors.
