Let’s start with a method I call blogging for dollars. This method can be used by installing wordpress on your own website or by setting up a free blogging account on any of the free blogging sites. I personally recommend wordpress.com.

What you will want to do is pick a subject that can be monetized easily. Your best bet is to stick with one of the popular niches that are proven money makers. Here are a few of the top money making niches.

Don’t like any of the above niches? Heres a tip on how to determine if a niche could be profitable. Take a trip to your local newsstand and visit the magazine rack. If a niche has a magazine or many magazines devoted to it, it is most likely a profitable niche.

After you have carefully selected your niche it is time to find products and/or services you can promote and get paid a commission for any sales you generate from your blog. Just do some searches on your favorite search engine looking for affiliate programs.

Now the fun begins. You will want to write posts about the niche you have chosen. You can write about what is happening in the niche, tips and tricks about your niche, etc. What interests you about the niche? Write about it.

Every three or four posts you will want to make a post about an item or service that you can promote and make a commission on. You can usually make a ridiculously low offer for an entire box of books and get it. The person holding the yard sale usually does not want to take them back into their house at the end of the day.

Another great place to find used books is at thrift stores. They usually have a wall full of books and most likely boxes of them in the back storage room that they don’t have room to put out.

The key to selling used books on Amazon is to know what books are selling well. Your best bet is to look for first editions, rare and vintage books, technical books, popular diet books and current top 10 best sellers.

Not into books? Then this next method I will discuss may work better for you and be a better choice for you to use to earn money online.

The next method I would like to discuss is called website flipping. This method does require that you learn how to build simple websites. It’s really not that hard, just search the web for free tutorials on building websites. You can also download free website templates that you can modify.

Now what is website flipping? It’s nothing more than building a website and then putting it up for sale. The trick is to know what types of websites are selling and build them.

Take some time and search the web for websites for sale. You will find many forums that allow you to list websites for sale. Watch these forums and see what is selling. Then build a few websites and list them for sale.

This method does require learning some skills but can be an extremely profitable way to earn money online.

Writing compelling copy comes easy for some and hard for others. You need to learn enough about copywriting to write basic sales pitches. Once you start making a little money you can pay a professional copywriter to rework your websites to improve sales.

Traffic Generation
Learning how to generate traffic is extremely important. Without traffic you have nothing. What I suggest is picking one traffic generation method and learning it forwards and backwards. You can even choose to buy traffic if it is within your budget.

Monetizing Techniques
There are many ways to make money from a website. You need to learn the different methods and pick what method is right for each website you build.

Once you learn how to make money online, the final step is to take action. Most fail because they get caught in permanent learning mode and never take action.

They will actually pay you a percentage of their seller fees if an existing eBay member makes a purchase through one of your links. Basically you build small sites aimed at potential buyers looking for the best price. You then show them currently running auctions that are selling what they are searching for. eBay provides you with code you can add to your site that will show the current auctions of particular products right on your page.

Method 4: Are you good at designing and building websites? Then you may be a prime candidate to start a website flipping business. What you do is build websites in popular niches and then sell them for a quick profit. You can also age these sites and build up traffic to them and then sell them for a larger profit.

I know I have only scratched the surface on these four popular methods used to make extra money online. If one particular method interests you I would suggest that you take a little time and do a little research on how to make extra money online using that particular method. You will be glad you did.

Not into selling products you need to ship? Then affiliate marketing may be more for you. The hard part about affiliate marketing is deciding what you want to promote. There are so many affiliate programs in almost every niche you can think of, you are bound to find something that interests you.

The first step you will need to do is select the niche you want to work with. This can be a daunting task. What I recommend is to take a trip to your local book store and head to the magazine rack. Look for niches that interest you and have several magazines covering them. If the niche has several magazines about it, it’s most likely going to be profitable online. Just do some searching on any search engine and see if others are building sites covering the niche you are researching.

Once you have selected a niche that appears to be profitable it is time to locate affiliate programs you can use to sell products and or services to your site visitors. Just select a few to start. You can add additional products and/or services after your site starts getting good traffic.

Now you have to make a decision about how you want to build your site. The two most popular methods are to build standard websites or build a blog site. For beginners the blog platform is usually the best method to use.

As you are building your site you want to keep in mind that you want to give your visitors high quality content. You don’t want your site to look like a big ad. You want to discuss the niche and then when appropriate, recommend products or services that may interest your site visitors.
